Chef Robert Charlton graduated with high honors and Gold Medal for culinary excellence from the Academy of Culinary Arts in Mays Landing, NJ. He was the Executive Sous Chef at Laurel Oak Country Club in Sarasota in the winter while in the summers, he was the Managing Partner and Executive Sous Chef at Charles' Seafood Garden and Angus Steakhouse on Long Beach Island, NJ during the 1990's.
After 16 years of Technology sales with Legato, EMC and others, Chef Robert and his wife Bethanne purchased a failing wing restaurant and renamed it Charlton's Grill and Tap. We wanted to bring to our neighborhood a restaurant where the Chef / owner is always onsite, comes to your table, knows your first name, talks to you and actually listens to your feedback.
Chef Robert flexes his culinary muscle with over 30 homemade sauces for wings, salads and sandwiches while perfecting everyone favorites like French Fries, Potato Chips, wings, Philly Cheesesteaks, Reuben, fish sandwiches, burgers and so much more.
