GIVE-A-LUNCH PROGRAM

When asked to feed people, there were two big unanswered questions: to whom the food was going and when would they get the food.  It was at this time, Chef Bob received three (3) back-to-back calls from local neighbors.

Ellen T. asked Chef  to provide dinner for a Roswell Firehouse.  Kris S, my daughter Emma’s former Centennial teacher Kris S. asked to provide lunch for her Veterinary Center.  Then finally, Roy G. asked for 2 gallons of Chicken Orzo Soup for his 3 neighbors with the flu.

After consulting customers and neighbors, the decision was made to focus on our local neighborhoods.  Those who are shut-ins, elderly, have small children and those who are less fortunate than others in our area.  “Do a good turn daily” is more than a Boy Scout Slogan; it is the right thing to do.

Program Details

  • GIVE-A-LUNCH Program and free Delivery Service provided; No fees or gratuity is added, but you may tip the delivery driver at time of the order.
  •  Before ordering, you (the purchaser) must confirm with the neighbor receiving the Lunch, that they are aware food will be delivered.  If there is a specific time that would be best, it would be good to know.
  •  You can order anything from the menu for their lunch; Reubens, Cubans, Philly Cheesesteak, etc. and the cost will be the regular price less a 12% discount.
  •  Once an order is received by phone or online (by Thursday, April 9), it will be confirmed, made and delivered.
  •  Each delivery will be set by the front door or designated location with a note stating who sent the food.

Why Don’t We have a Catering Menu?

There is no a menu, from which a person responsible for ordering food, that will have all the items that meet the ever-changing needs of a group of people .

Gone are the days of ordering 12 pizza’s, 20 Burrito’s, Sandwich trays because food today has to be Gluten-free, Dairy-free, Salt-free, no vegetables, no meat, no bread, no sandwiches, no salads, all salad, BBQ, Mexican, and who knows what other requirements placed upon the person ordering food.

Once you find that place that can meet all your needs with no complaints from the person paying for the meal, you keep ordering from there until told otherwise.

Why take the time to talk to Chef Bob?  If you have changing dietary requirements, food requests and tired of wasting time talking to people about food they can get for you then take 15 minutes to talk to Chef Bob as he is very different than anyone else in the area.

A culinary trained Chef, worked in Country Clubs, corporate and private restaurants before opening Charlton’s Grill and Tap.  Chef Bob also spent 16 years in technology sales, traveling 300+ days per year, ordering food for training groups and is fully-aware of the circus of ordering food.

Hors D’oeuvres
